.:*HSV July Pair Mission*:. - Night Club Brawl

This wasn't supposed to happened.

It was supposed to be a simple investigation where Benkei and Naoki were trying to find out some information about Eimi's disappearance and now this was happening.

The nightclub known as 'Plume and Pink' was now currently being turned inside out from the constant bullets flying in the air, plants and walls were being splattered with bullet holes, smoke was slowly smothering around the area, and pieces of glass was shattering on the ground. It was not safe in this place and the only that the two brunettes could was take cover and make sure that neither of them had gotten hurt or worse.

Apparently, the two suspects Atawazu and his girlfriend had refused to cooperate when Benkei and Naoki questioned them and now the club was being turned into a shooting gallery. Was it fear or for the simple reason of not wanting to be turned in to the police. Whatever the reason, something had to be done to get them to stop firing their weapons.

“Benkei, we have to do something about them shooting all over the place...” Naoki was against Benkei's back and she was trying to keep her body closed up from the flying bullets.

“What can we do, Naoki?” Benkei had answered as he loaded up his ruby pistol. “We can't take a chance running out there...”

Things were not looking good for them and at this rate, it would never end.

“I have an idea...” Benkei had took off his fedora and pulled out a small handgun and gave it to Naoki. “Hold this for me...”

Naoki's eyes had widen from the object that he had given her and she almost dropped it. “What do you want me to do with this? You know I don't like guns...”

Benkei looked at her with a serious expression. “It's not a gun. Listen, I'll act as a decoy and you run out of here and notify the ANBU and the Assassin Syndicate by using that emergency flare...”

Naoki was still skeptical about the whole thing and was never really fond of guns because of how heavy they were and how it took away human lives. But the emergency was somewhat light, but it still resembled a gun and that's what scared her. For now, she would have to put her personal feelings aside and help out her friend. “All right. Just...just give me the signal...”

Benkei had waited for a few more minutes and when the moment was right, Naoki had got the signal from him and she made a run from it. Sensing this, Atawazu pointed had pointed his gun at the fleeing brunette but Benkei had got in front of him and tackled him down before he could fire it at her. Atawazu gun had slid under the bar table and it fell through a hole in the floor.

Now Atawazu had lost his gun and he was stuck without a way to defend himself from his assailant. He didn't have much now but to defend himself the old fashioned way: his own two fists.

With a swift right hand, Atawazu had landed a hard blow to Benkei's left cheek which made the brunette stagger away from the blond. As Atawazu tried to hit the brunette again, Benkei was aware of his movements and he grabbed the blond and kneed him in the groin. Atawazu had grimaced in pain and Benkei had held him and looked at him a fierce look. “You can't fight worth a damn, can you?”

The brunette had smirked dangerously at the man and clenched his fist as tightly as he could. “Let me show you how it's done...” And the brunette's fist constantly clashed onto Atawazu's face over and over again, alternating from different features on the blond's face. When Benkei got to his ninth blow, he put all his strength into his last punch and knocked Atawazu onto the nearby wall as he slid down from it.

Benkei had shook his head from how things had turned out and he couldn't even look at the beaten blond on the ground. “Pitiful...”

Unknowing to the brunette, something hard had struck him in the back of his head and he fell to the floor as he howled in pain. Hearing the faint clicking of heels, Benkei had looked around and saw that it Atawazu's lover, Adachi and she had used an empty beer mug she had found near the bar to hit him with it. Great, now he was eating the very words that he muttered not too long ago because he had let his guard down at the last moment.

“Virtuoso, you will pay the price for what you did to my lover..” The raven haired beauty had pulled out her revolver and she pointed at Benkei. The brunette had no choice but to stand down for the moment. “...And I really hate that I have to shoot such a handsome man and send him to an early grave...”

Benkei would defend himself, but he would never put his hands on a woman. It was the gentleman within him that was making this situation so difficult and it would change his life or end it depending if Adachi would pull the trigger.

“Goodbye, Virtuoso...” Adachi exclaimed and her finger was slowly mashing down on the trigger and Benkei was powerless to do anything to stop her since he would not pull a gun out on her and he simply closed his eyes as he waited for the countless bullets to brutally pierce through his body and send him to a world free of excruciating pain.

Without the raven knowing, the female brunette had came back she was now standing behind her. “I won't let you hurt my friend, Adachi-san.” Naoki had stated as harsh as she possibly could without being completely rude to the assailant. Normally, the brunette would not be willing to fight so easily because she didn't like violence and bloodshed, but Benkei was being held at gun point and she had to do something!

Before Adachi could counterattack with her gun, the brunette had side-kicked it away and knocking it out of the raven's hands. As Naoki had tried to get a hold of her, Adachi had a vice grip on her neck and attacked Naoki with two hits with the back of her hand. The second one had knocked the brunette down to the ground, but she quickly stopped herself from hitting her face to the ground by using her knees. Naoki was slightly hurt but she wasn't down.

Strolling around her body, Adachi had Naoki right where she wanted her. “What's the matter, pretty girl? I thought you wasn't gonna let me hurt your friend!” The raven had proceeded with trying to place her foot on the brunette's face but Naoki used both her hands and all of her strength to force Adachi back. This in turn made Adachi fall backwards and she landed on the right side of her body.

Standing up, Naoki had quickly stood up and pulled out something from the front of her dress. It turned out to be a metal iron fan that had green embroidered designs and had the symbol of the Nagano engraved on it. With a flick of her wrist, the small fan had opened up and she was ready to defeat Adachi. “I won't and I'm not done yet...”

Staggering to her feet, Adachi had ran towards the brunette to attack her but it was now Naoki's turn to counterattack. The brunette proceeded to strike Adachi with multiple, swifts hits with the metal spokes of the fan and she was able bring the raven to a staggering mess with assault. “It hurts, doesn't it?”

Once more, Adachi tried to attack Naoki again. Being quick, Naoki had closed up her iron fan and struck the raven in her stomach with the blunt side of the weapon. Adachi had groaned in pain and spat out a bit of saliva from the metal handle hitting her midsection. Taking this chance, Naoki grabbed her by her head and readied herself for her final move. “Let me give you something for the pain!” Naoki easily flung her over her shoulder, making Adachi land back and head-first into the wooden floor. That last move had knocked the raven out cold.

Magenta eyes had widen in surprised after the fight had came to an end and Benkei was pretty impressed with how Naoki had handled herself against a woman with a firearm and what made it even more impressive was that Naoki didn't callously hurt her in the process without any blood being spilled. It takes precise fighting skills to pull that off and even he couldn't do that as he was an assassin for hire.

After catching a breath from her small scuffle, Naoki had ran over to Benkei's side to help him up. “Benkei, are you okay?”

The brunette had looked at Naoki and he smirked at her with a playful expression. Benkei had knew Naoki for a while and it amazed him how she could be innocent at one minute, but could become serious so quickly. “Nao, I thought I told you to go get help and how come you never told me you could fight like that, huh?” The brunette asked and she chuckled from his question. She finally managed to get the older male on his feet from and she dusted him off. “Thanks, Nao...”

Forty-five minutes lately, the club was now being swarmed with ANBU, news reporters, and more officials. Benkei and Naoki were getting looked at by the medics for their injuries and luckily for them, they weren't seriously hurt. The two brunettes were sitting at the bar and amazingly enough, it was the only thing that was still intact despite everything being destroyed in the place.

“Well, you really went all out this time.”

Benkei had recognized the voice and he looked up and he felt like he was in the presence of an evil entity. His eyes were instantly fixed on light brown ones and the cold smirk plastered on the person's face had sent a very cold chill down his spine. God, he was in so much trouble that he couldn't even describe what she would do to him this time. There in front of him was the big cheese herself, Nazo Soushou. Leader of the Assassin Syndicate and even though she was smirking, she was anything but happy.

As she walked around the club and inspected the damages, she pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed in aggravation. She was already getting an headache. “Oh, my God. Do you have any idea how much it's gonna cost to replace everything in this place?!” Every time this happened, she would get on Benkei and yell at him for it. She wasn't gonna help him. She refused to do it this time around.

“Why? Why do I keep doing this to myself? Every time. Every single time I send you out on an assignment, you cause collateral damage to each location!” Nazo knew the reason why and it was because that Benkei was one of her best agents and he got the job done in a timely matter. Despite that, it didn't excuse the fact that the brunette had caused property damage and she would take the blame for it. “I can't do anything for you this time. Benkei, you are gonna responsible for all of this. Do you understand me?!”

Benkei closed his eyes and leaned back against the ledge of the bar. “All right. Fine.”

“Excuse me?” Nazo questioned, slightly baffled with Benkei's answer.

“I'll be responsible for all of this.”The brunette stated again and he looked at his leader with an aloof expression.

“What are you talking about?”

“Well, for bringing down Atawazu and Adachi, discovering another clue for our Mayor's disappearance, not to mention that the safety of the city can return to some kind of normalcy.” The brunette had actually pinned Nazo for once in his life, but that would be quickly-short lived if she decided to play 'Slice and Dice' with her bladed partner, Old Betsy. The woman had an angry mark on the side of her forehead and she turned to the side from his statement. She couldn't believe that her own prodigy was trying to outclass her and it annoyed her. But he did make a good point, so...

“Go.” Nazo had turned back around and she noticed that both Benkei and Naoki were still sitting where they were. This had irritated the syndicate lady that now even the nicest person was not listening to her. More than likely, it was because the leader of the Assassin Syndicate was actually being lenient towards them and they were completely dumbfounded by her response. “Get out of here right now before I change my mind and my hand slips around your throat, Benkei...”

After watching the frustrated Nazo leave to go question the captured criminals, Naoki had blinked in confusion from what had just happened. Something just didn't sit right with her and how Nazo had responded. “Wait a minute, Benkei...”

Benkei had turned to Naoki and he smirked at her from what he was about to ask her. “Yes, Nao?”

“She's crazy scary. How did you do that without a hint of fear?” Naoki was no fool and she knew from first glance that Nazo could be very intimidating when she wants to be, but she didn't reprimand them from all the damages that the two had created just to do this simple investigation.

“Honestly, I don't know but I've been working for her for years and she's really not that bad. The fact that she didn't bring her blade with her let me know that she's in one of her better moods today. Imagine her pissed off. That's not a pretty sight at all.” Benkei stated and he shuddered just thinking about it.

Naoki had imagined it as well, but her version of Nazo's bad attitude was merely a lovely bubble bath compared to her real anger. She felt very sorry for Benkei and the other assassins for hire that had to deal with her on a daily basis. “I can only imagine...”

“But anyway, thanks for having my back on this mission. I appreciate it.” Benkei had gave her a small smile and he fixed the white collar on his shirt.

Naoki had giggled from the sweet expression of gratitude that she was receiving from Benkei. She always knew that Benkei was such a sweetheart and an appreciative one at that. “No problem. Anytime.”

This was the first time that Benkei and Naoki had worked together as a team and despite not knowing each other that well and understanding their abilities, they did pretty well and functioned properly as a team. Hopefully, this won't be the last time that they would work together and both brunettes were looking forward to the next time they would team up.

The two brunettes had smiled at one another and they lightly bumped their fists together to congratulate each other for a job well done. Benkei and Naoki would definitely pair up again for another mission. No doubt about it...
