Nariko Uchiha (うちは・ナリコ, Uchiha Nariko) is a kunoichi from the Village Hidden in the Leaves, a paternal member of the nearly extinct Uchiha Clan, and the eldest biological daughter of Sasuke Uchiha. She is also one of the main supporting characters in the fanfiction series, "Changing Fate". Nariko also acts as a leading emissary kunoichi of “Shinyogen Dōmei” and she is driven with adamant resolve to restore the shinobi world to its former glory before the horrific tragedy claimed the majority of humanity in her time.

Nariko is an interesting mixture of complexity, contradictory, and restlessness. She is a affectionate, kind and generous girl who can be very thoughtful about others – just as long as it doesn't interfere too much with what she wants to do. At times, she can act a little childish and get angry when life struggles prove to be too much for her. When this happens, she might become withdrawn, excessively worried or hardened. On the other hand, her versatility helps her to adapt so she ultimately gains control of the situation turns it around to suit herself and those around her. Unlike most members of the Uchiha clan, Nariko has a witty and somewhat comedic temperament that makes her a charming young lady to be around because of her endearing charm and engaging personality. She's like a free bird in the sky who wants her independance and freedom.

She also has another side to her personality that can make her seem vulnerable, selfish, and a bit on the cruel side. At times, Nariko can become very unemotional to the point where it seems that she doesn't care, but it's a way for her to cover up her insecurities of being inconsistent with her decisions. Another downfall with Nariko is her superficiality. Instead of looking deep into a person's real qualities, she will judge a person by the way they treat her. This can lead her to have wrong impressions of people and can cause problems when relationships. Nariko can have feelings of discouragement and moodiness although she'll never allow this to be seen by anyone but her closest friends or family. She would usually want everyone to think that she's happy and doing wonderfully and not letting the stress get to her.

Nariko Uchiha is a teenage girl of average height who has fair, apricot skin and a lean muscular figure that she had gained from the years of training. Her persian indigo hair is neatly layered into a asymmetrical bob cut with two parting fringes to complete her tomboyish look. Her almond-shaped eyes are coal black in color and her thin lips are usually painted with a clear lip balm that accents her features.

When Nariko first appeared in Konohagakure in the past, she was seen wearing a charcoal gray cloak with a gold Shinyogen Dōmei design on the right side of her chest and it reached down to her ankles. It was possible that she had wore her off-duty casual clothes underneath her cloak. Her off-duty casual clothes consists of a sleeveless v-cut, dark indigo midriff shirt and a jasmine yellow shirt with black cut-out sleeves underneath it, dark gray trousers, and black knee-high shinobi sandals. On her pants are loose suspenders that carry a kunai holster on her right leg and around her neck, she also wears a black choker that completes her outfit.

During the Kuroshinen Interception arc, she wore a prussian blue jacket that had long sleeves with the Uchiha Clan insignia printed on each one and a white furred hoodie, a black mesh undershirt, her lavender forehead protector nestled around her neck, and dark gray shorts with armored mesh pockets. Her thigh length sandals with purple trimming at the top and blue color around the vamp of the shoes are connected to her shorts with gray side suspenders. During missions, Nariko’s right leg is secured with white bandages with a kunai holster tied around it and also wears a hip pouch on her lower back. Around her shoulders, her kodachi swords are encased in a twin sword sheath. The sheath itself is concealed under her jacket and it’s worn in the inverted fashion for quicker sword drawing.

After her battle with Mizuki, Nariko’s clothes were completely destroyed and she ended up wearing a different outfit during her time in the past. She sports a dark red, sleeveless, zip up shirt that had a gray mandarin collar and black trimming around the shirt arm holes. Under her shirt is a short-sleeved armored mesh shirt with black trimming, her new gray forehead protector is worn around her waist like a belt, and she wears fingerless gray over the elbow gloves on her arms. To complete her look, Nariko wears a pair of form-fitting, violet-blue pants that also functioned as her black-heeled shinobi sandals and her right leg is secured with white bandages with a kunai holster. On her pants is an oval-shaped cut out that exposes her right thigh and its revealed that she wears black shorts underneath her pants.

From her early childhood to the Academy years, Nariko has shown great potential to become a capable kunoichi - one who could possibly lead the next generation with the Will of Fire. During her Academy days, she possessed a natural aptitude for her stamina, speed, and genjutsu. By the time she became a chūnin, Nariko had reached a level of prowess that made her one of the strongest kunoichi in her generation.Many people figured that she had wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps and surpass him, but she wanted to become something even better - using her strength to protect her loved ones and prove to the world that her family can truly do wonderful things with their abilities and descend into darkness.

:: Ninjutsu ::

Kenjutsu

Before her Academy training came into play, Nariko had asked her father to train her in the art of kenjutsu, but he had refused her for the simple fact that he didn't want Nariko to learn swordsmanship. Knowing fully well that Sasuke would not allow her to train in that aspect, Nariko had placed the idea of learning kenjutsu on the back burner. Two years after Sasuke's death however, she had began practicing through her own self-taught method for about six months.

Three months later, she became a student of Neyuki Kanawa, a renown female samurai from the Land of Iron who had came to Konohagakure to train some of the experienced genin in the art of kenjutsu. Within three years of training under her, Nariko had proficient skills in kenjutsu and she wielded Tekkō (a pair of kodachi swords), and combined it with her speed to create her own unique fighting style. With the skills that she had acquired, she has the ability to deflect most chakra attacks and cut through even the hardest of solid objects.

Nature Transformation

Nariko can employ the uses of two elemental nature transformations – Fire Release and Yin Release. As an Uchiha, Nariko has impressive skill in using Fire Release and she even passed the clan's rite of passage with her own unique variation of the Great Fireball jutsu at the age of 12. She can also use flow chakra through her kodachi blades and create weapons made of fire for quick attacks in battle. Her second nature transformation, Yin Release comes by a little more difficult to learn than Fire Release. Most of her genjutsu techniques derived from this release.

:: Dōjutsu ::

Sharingan

At the age of 12, Nariko was able to awaken the Sharingan with one tomoe in the right eye and two in the left eye. The event that had triggered its awakening was when she was on a simply escort mission with her teammates and fighting off enemy ninja from an unknown country. By the time she was 14, her Sharingan had reached full maturity with three tomoe in each eye. This had happened two years after the Kuroshinen Devastation that resulted in the deaths of Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha. As she trained her dōjutsu past her physical limits, Nariko become able to use the Sharingan for extended periods of time with little effects to her stamina. Around this time, she starts using the Sharingan more consecutively whenever she enters a battle in order to get her body accustomed to it. By the time she's a chūnin, her proficiency with the Sharingan has increased to where it doesn't physically drain her anymore.

This dōjutsu grants Nariko enhanced visual powers, being able to observe and differentiate the flow of chakra, perceive everything from sight and predict a person's movements. She can also cast powerful genjutsu from eye contact and hypnotize her opponents with great ease. Although, Nariko refrains from using this method unless it is absolutely necessary.

Sanryōkyō Sharingan

Nariko had awakened her Sanryōkyō Sharingan (a variation of the Sharingan to only female members of the clan) through pure force of will during the Chūnin Exams in year 41 STNE. The tomoe has spread into seven rhombuses in a coalescing pattern with a small ring in the center of the iris. Because she didn't achieve her Sanryōkyō Sharingan wasn't awakened through normal means, Nariko's skills are scarce and limited, making the dōjutsu diluted and incomplete. Despite that, she can still use some of the barrier techniques that came with this dōjutsu. The drawback is that she can only use it in one eye instead of both. However, Nariko is more than certain that if she were to meet the conditions for properly awakening the dōjutsu, only then would be able to use it at its maximum capacity.

:: Intelligence ::

From Nariko's years of being a carefree spirit with a headstrong attitude, she might come off as someone who doesn't take things seriously or even applying herself for that matter. In truth, Nariko is a kinesthetic person who actually learns better through experience than with actual theory and that makes her very artful with a keen eye of observation. In the midst of battle, she can come up with tactics in order to take down her opponents quicker and execute her plans in a timely matter. She quickly learns how to use her assets to her benefit, and may become unscrupulous and cunning in extreme situations.

:: Other Skills ::

Although, she doesn't use this skill normally in her fighting style, Nariko is also very adept in taijutsu. When she was training for her entry into the academy, she used this method of fighting the majority of the time since she wasn't able to mold chakra properly to perform ninjutsu or genjutsu. So far, her skills in taijutsu skills have improved to the the point where she can use reverse grapples and submission moves towards her enemies and her speed contributes greatly in that factor. Nariko also have some competent skills in sealing techniques and uses one in order to travel back and forth between the past and the future.

Nariko couldn't successfully execute this jutsu through normal means, so she came up with her own variation of it. She would perform the hand seals and her hands will glow with chakra, sparking up small flames around her fingertips. Spreading her arms wide, the fire extends and surrounds her body while she spins around in a circle three times. With perfect timing and precision, she releases the fire and expels large mulitple fireballs towards the opponent and she can even change the trajectory of the attack itself.

Nariko's first technique without the use of hand seals. Grabbing the hilt of one of her kodachi blades, she flows chakra into the blade and it ignites a powerful flame. With a single slash of her kodachi blade, she fires a wave of fireballs shaped like feathers towards her opponent.

Nariko would perform the hand seals and she leaps into the air, creating some distance between her and her opponent. From the center of her palms, she fires two giant fireball that take on the form of doves and they come down like asteroids, then explode into column a of intense flames.

After completing the hand signs, Nariko crosses her arms above her chest while they gather chakra. When her arm accumulates the correct amount, mulitple sparks of fire surround her and gathers it up all at once, forming a large bow and arrow out of it. After it's formered, she shoots it at her opponent(s). This technique is best used when in conjunction with any type of dōjutsu (which increases accuracy oof the attack). The arrow itself is a concentrated burst of chakra and pressure than can easily incapacitated or assassinate a person if the attack is successful.

This technique involves invoking and releasing the chakra and tenketsu that has been sealed within a suspended stasis for a long period of time.

After performing the needed hand seals for this technique, a seal appears on the person’s body and it will begin to spin wildly and violently before glowing brightly. A large seal will appear underneath the user’s feet as the tenketsu from inside the body starts to glow brightly and it emanates high levels of chakra in the form of tendrils. From the chakra being constantly sealed inside the body for so long, the user will more than likely experience a few moments of intense pain while the chakra surges through all the tenketsu points and familiarizes itself with the user’s body again. When the seal is finally release, the user regains their fighting prowess and the ability to utilize their chakra to maximum capacity. However, this seal will only remain undone for thirty minutes and will revert the user’s chakra to its stasis state when the limit is reached. The upside to the technique is that when it’s used frequently, the pain will gradually lessen and becomes easily to deal with the effects of the jutsu being activated.

Depending on what chakra nature the user has, the pain will vary from different ranges. Fire Release creates an intense burning sensation while being surrounded by flames, Wind Release will give the illusion that the user is being ripped apart from the harsh winds, Lightning Release makes the user feel constant electrical shocks, Earth Release users will feel the aftershock of consecutive waves of blunt force, and Water Release will add extra pressure and weight through the user’s body.

Genjutsu: Sparks of Despair

An illusion created by Nariko with the power of her Sanryōkyō Sharingan. This genjutsu is cast by placing the index finger on the forehead and within the illusion, the person is trapped in a chasm. Below them, the person will sink into the ground until they are waist deep and multiple spheres of blue fire are surrounding them in a ring. The flames encircle the person and all of the flames attack and ignite them all at once.

An illusion created by Nariko with the power of her Sanryōkyō Sharingan. This technique creates the illusion of the opponent being pulled down into the pits of hell by seven different demonic entities and constantly being incinerated by them. During this illusion, the person is trapped and each demon takes turns using a different fire technique on them. The physical effects that comes from the genjutsu effects the heart and in turn, the pulse races, your heart pounds, it becomes difficult to breathe. Finally, the person will mainly pass out, becoming physically and mentally weaken from the illusion. If pushed enough, the fear instilled from the illusion can easily stop the heart, killing the opponent with ease. The effects of the genjutsu varies and depends on the will power of the person it's cast on.

This technique is Nariko's strongest technique in her arsenal, but she only uses this when she needs to end an opponent immediately. The reason for that is because it takes a substaintial amount of chakra to perform this jutsu and it drains her physical strength dramatically. In truth, she hates using this particular technique.

• Nariko (ナリコ) have different meanings and in some cases, it doesn't have a meaning at all, but the meaning that fits her the most is "humble child." Her family name "Uchiha" is another way of pronouncing "uchiwa" (団扇, paper fan), which is actually the Uchiha Clan's symbol. Uchiwa can be used to fan flames, making the flame hotter - referring to the fact that the Uchiha is a clan of Fire Release users.

• Unlike most members of the Uchiha clan, Nariko has embrace the Will of Fire instead of the Curse of Hatred and wants to follow in the footsteps of Itachi, Shisui, and Kagami Uchiha. She wants to prove that not all Uchiha have to be the same and can still fight for peace and prosperity.

• Nariko's best friend is Tosaka Inuzuka, the daughter of Kiba Inuzuka and Karui from Kumogakure.

• Nariko's favorite colors are red, blue, light purple, yellow, and black.

• Nariko is able to read a person's thoughts by simply studying the movement of their eyes.
